Living in South Central since 2009, I realized I always had to drive at least 5 miles to other neighborhoods to enjoy French desserts with my daughter. I've been in the food industry since 2016, starting as a chef in luxury rehabs. Then I started to think about opening my own brick and mortar and would sporadically work on that project (research mainly) always wishing that if I had the time, I would go ahead and do it. Covid happened. And it is during this pivotal time -for many of us- that I realized I had the time. No more excuses! I founded my business in January 2021,. and started small by with a stand featuring only a few products at weekly farmers markets (El Segundo, Westchester, Mar Vista). Many of my returning clientele asked about my store location. This motivated me to upgrade and in November 2022, I opened my first brick & mortar in Inglewood. That location was only a one-year sublease, which was enough time to test how locals would receive a French bakery in the neighborhood. Eventually, and since June 2024, I opened my permanent location, in Ladera Heights.
