The Nitty Gritty

  • Prosperity Market will release clues, a treasure map and word bank of LA black-owned businesses to guide you on your search. *Not every business in the word bank is a stop in the scavenger hunt.
    • Clues can be found on our website and Instagram or receive them directly by signing up for texts or email.
  • Each business you visit is worth 1 point. To get your points, check in at each store by taking a photo using the QR Code in-store.
  • You must post your photo on Instagram, tag @prosperity.market and use the hashtag #PMbizhunt2022 OR you can email your photos to admin@prosperitymarketla.com. (Include your name and phone number in the email.)
  • You can earn extra points by making a purchase at each of the participating businesses. Make sure to show your purchase in your photo to receive the extra points.
  • Other ways to earn extra points: 
    • If the participating business has a Nipsey mural, take a photo with it using the QR code.

  • If you eat at this restaurant, you’ll Beam with delight.  It's all so delicious, and made just right. Make sure you take a photo and make sure to Post! And if it's Sunday Brunch then make sure to toast.
  • From Nashville to Crenshaw, this chicken is fire. Spicy or mild, it's made to your desire.
  • Southern girls cook & southern girls bake, so if it's made by a southern girl you know it tastes great.
  • This staple on Crenshaw started with a cart, and they warmed their way into all of our hearts. They have meatless Mondays, so vegans come eat. Vegan or not, these hotdogs can't be beat.

  • This place is natural, organic, and plastic free. You'll live Nappily ever after. It's the best place to be.

  • Iced or not, this is the spot, for coffee or tea, or something to eat. Hot or so, this is where you go for a drink or a bite that's made just right.
  • If you watched Black Panther then you saw some of these designs. If you want some for yourself, keep this shop in mind. If you're riding down Slauson & you're in View Park, stop at this store for some wearable art.
  • This LA staple is SIMPLY the best.  They have a WHOLE menu for you to test.  Purchase SOME, or purchase all.  Whatever you get will be a great call.
